Local support/ contacts
From time to time families will need additional support and advice. There are many different agencies available who can help on a variety of issues.

Our Children's Centre has an Outreach Worker, Adele Clayton, who is available for group and 1 - to - 1 family support.

We run a Family Links 10 week Nurturing course for parents. Please contact us for more information on 01737 780 255.

We are a charity established by Redhill Baptist Church which offers practical support for parents and children in our local community. We provide a Pre-School, a regular morning drop-in, a Mums and toddlers group, parenting courses, summer family fundays. For families in crisis we have a listening ear with sound advice for when you need to talk things over. We can also supply emergency food parcels and a decorating loan kit (by referral only).

Crossroads provides a relief visiting service to those caring for a child or adult with special needs at home. Trained Care Attendants can take over the parent's role and look after your child in your home for a few hours to allow some free time. Children with any physical disability or learning difficulties can be visited regularly or on an occasional basis, such as evenings, school holidays or at times of particular difficulty. The aim is to provide a service sensitive to peoples' needs and to help parents maintain a normal family life. There is no charge but donations are welcome to help cover staff costs.
How can this service be accessed?: Telephone, although referrals are usually made by a social worker.

Face to Face is a befriending service offering emotional support to parents discovering that their child has a disability. Trained volunteers, all of whom have a child with a disability themselves, offer this support.
